Valentina Virginia Mtz. Stroud was born in Mexico and later moved to the United States as an adult. She now lives in Wisconsin with her husband, embracing a new chapter of life while maintaining strong ties to her homeland. Her two daughters, both accomplished professionals, continue to live in Mexico, along with most of her extended family. These close connections keep her returning frequently, strengthening her bond with the country where her story began.

Stroud feels fortunate to experience life between two cultures—Mexican and American—and considers this dual perspective a meaningful part of her identity. Her experiences navigating and appreciating both worlds often influence her writing, offering a unique voice rooted in love, tradition, and personal journey.
